My research seeks to answer questions of health and human rights in fragile urban contexts (most often formerly colonized communities in the global South). I am an active member of the movement reshape the nature of academic collaboration between researchers from wealthy and exploited environments, to achieve equitable distribution of benefits.
I also co-direct the Student Sustainability Exchange program, through which WUSTL students partner with local clients to effect sustainable outcomes. Each project includes a targeted focus on racial equity challenges in St. Louis.
