Michelle Silver’s research centers around understanding and improving the delivery of evidence-based practices in cancer prevention, with a primary focus on cancer screening. Her research aims to understand cancer disparities and the factors that prevent delivery of effective screening and integration of prevention tools into routine practice in a way that would enable equitable cancer prevention across diverse populations, including traditionally marginalized populations. Her research examines patient-, provider-, and system-level factors that influence the effective translation of evidence-based practices into routine clinical care and aims to develop or implement appropriate interventions to improve screening and cancer prevention, while reducing disparities.
