Prasanthi Ramakrishnan is broadly interested in labor markets, focusing on gender and racial differences. Part of her work focuses on understanding why there are so few Black entrepreneurs as compared to white entrepreneurs in the United States and the mechanisms driving this difference. She is also interested in the demographic changes occurring over time in education, labor market, and marriage patterns and how they affect the social security system in the United States.
