Graduate Student, Anthropology

I am a sociocultural anthropologist in training. I am interested in exploring how nation-state led educational policies and reforms impact the lives of Indigenous communities, specifically in Latin American, with a focus on Indigenous language ideologies. The areas of research framing my work include, globalization and cultural change, the intersections of race and language in sociolinguistics, ethnicity and nationalisms, migration and transnationalism.
