Art & Social Movements Across the Americas: Student Workshop with Jennifer Ponce de León

October 20, 2021
4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Dr. Ponce de León’s first book, Another Aesthetics Is Possible: Arts of Rebellion in the Fourth World War (Duke University Press, 2021) theorizes aesthetics as an integral and potentially radicalizing force in contemporary political and social struggles. For this workshop, students will have a chance to read the book’s Introduction and discuss the book’s arc and goals with the author. Please register for this workshop to receive the reading before the event.

Co-sponsored by the Latinx | Latin American Race & Ethnicity Research Unit; the Academy for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion; and the Department of Art History and Archaeology.
