Alexandre “Ale” Silva is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Brown School, from the People, Health and Place, Unit. Back in Brazil, where all his educational process was made, his research background focused on built environment and physical activity in different age groups. Recently his research during Ph.D expanded to understand the social determinants of health during COVID-19 in Brazil, and how social and spatial inequalities affected different groups during the crisis. Actually, he is interested to understand the different complexities of the built environment in health outcomes and public health.
