My research and advocacy efforts focus on reducing health disparities and promoting health equity in medicine and science. In my role as Chair of OBGYN at Washington University, I have created an office of Inclusion, Innovation, Diversity, Discovery, Equity, Excellence, Advocacy, and Advancement (IDEA2) to promote diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives in the department, across the institution, and with community partners.
