Instructor of Medicine, Cardiology

The goal of my research is to reduce inequities in cardiovascular disease due to systemic and structural inequities. Specifically, my work examines the role that health policy implementation plays in race and socioeconomic based inequities in cardiovascular disease outcomes. My current work is focused on gaining a better understanding of how hospital payment policies influence the implementation strategies used to manage high-risk, high-cost conditions for racially minoritized populations, vulnerable populations and patients in low-resource settings.
