Grace Reid

Grace Reid is studying the development of social cognition, with a focus on how children reason about social categories like race. Her research has examined children’s understanding of intersection between race and gender, children and adults’ reasoning about skin color inheritance, and racial socialization among children and adults. Her most recent work focuses on strategies to increase children’s engagement in discourse about race.
