Ivy Smith

Ivy Smith is interested in addressing health and racial disparities by utilizing data science methodologies and applications. As a researcher in Dr. Sheretta Butler-Barnes lab, she will work alongside other researchers from Washington University in St. Louis, the University of Virginia, and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro to study not only how Black parents speak to their children as a result of Black people being harmed or killed due to racial violence, but also how students in both middle school and high school cope with those incidents.
