Masoomeh Faghankhani is interested in research on preventing mental, behavioral, and social health disorders, evidence-based public health, and knowledge translation. She is interested in placing particular emphasis on vulnerable populations such as immigrant war-torn women from the Middle East (Arab, Afghan, etc) to reduce health disparity and achieve health equity. As an interdisciplinary scholar, Masoomeh has published and worked with scholars across a wide range of fields including, but not limited to, Mental and behavioral health, public health, sociology, demography, human genetics, and medicine.
