Professor Lin’s major methodological research interest is in statistical analysis of big data, such as subsampling approach, parallel and distributed algorithms, high-dimensional mediation analysis, large-scale multiple testing, penalized quantile regression. His other research interest includes biostatistics, bioinformatics, Bayesian statistics, longitudinal and functional data analysis.
