Nancy Jacquelyn Pérez-Flores is a T-32 NIMH Pre-doctoral fellow at Brown School of Social Work. As an early-career investigator, her research endeavors esteem from being a first-generation bicultural Latina examining physical and mental health disparities, particularly among racial/ethnic communities. Her work explores mental health literacy and stigma towards mental illness in the Latinx community, understanding racial/ethnic physical and mental health disparities among people with mental illness, and examining culturally and linguistically competent interventions to reduce these inequities.
