Sally PW Wu collaborates with instructors and students to enhance instructional design and pedagogical practices with educational technologies, using theories based in learning sciences research. Her research focused on ways to promote enhanced learning outcomes and equity for undergraduate students learning visual spatial content in introductory STEM classrooms, particularly through the use of reflective tools (e.g. drawings, discourse) and technologies (e.g. adaptive tutoring systems, learning management systems). Current projects involve instructional support, resource development, research/evaluation, strategic planning, and learning space design with partners at WashU and Musizi University in Kampala, Uganda.
