Tess Losada’s research centers around the liminal experience of bicultural straddling and how mixed-race identity is shaped by a lifetime of being ni de aquí, ni de allá. Losada conducts her research both through scholarship and choreographic practice, and her research interests also include ritual in dance, modern/contemporary dance in the Cuban diaspora, and the history and contributions of Latiné dancers.
