Wynette Whitegoat-Ramirez

Wynette Whitegoat is a member of the Navajo Nation and a third-year social work doctoral student at the Brown School at Washington University in St. Louis. Her research interests lie in education and development across the lifespan in Indigenous communities, focusing on child maltreatment prevention and holistic family wellbeing. Wynette has a particular interest in tribal early childhood home visiting interventions and their impact on parental support and child development within indigenous communities. More generally, she is an advocate of inclusive research methodologies that center on Indigenous voices and their ways of knowing, being, and doing.
