2023 African American Studies Summer Institute for Teachers
This one-week long summer institute supported St. Louis metropolitan region high school teachers who sought to incorporate aspects of Black culture, history, and literature into their courses or planned to offer AP/African American Studies courses at their schools. This program was supported by the WASHU African and African American Studies Department, the School Arts and Sciences, and The Interdisciplinary Program in Urban Studies & Center on Urban Research & Public Policy.
CRE2-Science in Human Culture Program Partnership
The Center for the Study of Race, Ethnicity & Equity (CRE2) at Washington University in St. Louis partnered with the Program in Science in Human Culture (SHC) at Northwestern University to co-sponsor a series of research exchanges, public panels, and scholarly presentations that focused on the intersections of race, science, and medicine.
