The Center for the Study of Race, Ethnicity & Equity (CRE2) is prioritizing inquiry around the intersections of race, ethnicity, public health, medicine, and the human experience. This will include deep and wide-ranging engagement with the set of issues raised by the novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19). The COVID-19 pandemic has made more urgent the need for robust cross-disciplinary and collaborative research on these links, also foregrounding issues of class, workforce, and community networks.

The Colors of Covid Lab houses projects supported through the CRE2 Colors of Covid Special Focus Grant, facilitating exchange between independent research teams and the broader visibility, use, and impact of this vital research. Funding decisions will be announced in early November 2020, after which the lab will be developed in collaboration with funded project teams for launch in Spring 2021.
